Barbara Ferry
Associate Attorney
Barbara Ferry is an associate attorney with Fellom and Solorio. She brings many years of experience defending immigrants in a variety of settings to her practice. After graduating with a degree in Religion and the Humanities from the University of Chicago, she joined Proyecto Libertad to assist Central American refugees detained near the U.S. Mexico border in Port Isabel, Texas. She worked as a journalist covering Congress, and as a local news reporter in New Mexico. Her freelance journalism has appeared on national publications and outlets including The Atlantic and National Public Radio.
Since graduating from the University of New Mexico Law School in 2012, her law practice has been entirely dedicated to immigration, with a focus on survivors of domestic violence, assault, and other trauma. At Fellom and Solorio, she handles family-based petitions, U visas, naturalization, adjustment of status, Violence Against Women Act cases, consular processing, asylum, cancellation of removal and temporary protected status. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys helping clients navigate the complexities of immigration law to help them achieve their goals. She is licensed by the State Bar of New Mexico.
